Scripture and Quotes: “The Importance of Prayer”

“All of us would be wiser if we would resolve never to put people down, except on our prayer lists.”

– D.A. Carson

Friend, when we settle for making “wishes” versus praying, our hearts can become laden with discontentment. And discontentment forgets the goodness and sovereignty of God…which certainly can lead to weariness and discouragement. But prayer. Prayer provides rest and perspective…God’s perspective. Humbly yielding our reasonings, emotions, and hurts into God’s hands is acknowledging that He does what is best, and can be trusted. Keep leaning into His arms (in prayer), digging into His Words, and diving into Gospel Community… God’s got you! ♥️ Love, Mer
