Significance

Friends, the significance our hearts long to find is not secured in the perceived relevance culture provides… nor is it obtained in the workplace, with a degree, or by our appearance. Our worth is not determined by how many likes we acquire on social media… It’s not even dependent upon the number of Bible studies you attend.

“But you, O God my Lord, deal on my behalf for your name’s sake; because your steadfast love is good, deliver me!”

Psalm 109:21

Precious Gals, significance is not an achievement, but a gift. Significance is a Person. Rest from all of the weariness that comes with finding identity in the things of this world. But instead fill your heart and mind with Truth. Set your minds on things above…where Jesus is. (Colossians 3) Jesus is the Truth, the Way and the Life (John 14:6). His cross was enough, and His word is sufficient. Jesus is and always will be enough for you.

The most important daily habit we can possess is to remind ourselves of the Gospel.

Our Need For the Gospel

What is the Gospel?

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 “Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,”

Romans 5:8 “but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

John 3:16 ““For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”

Isaiah 53:4-5 “Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed.”

Galatians 3:28 “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Romans 10:13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

John 3:36 “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on Him.”

Romans 15:4 “For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.”

1 John 4:10 “In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”

2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.”

Psalm 110:1 “A Psalm of David. The Lord says to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.”
